Places I Have Never Been To; Things I Have Never Seen
2018
Chalk pastels, charcoal [and coloured pencils] on paper
7.5" x 7.5" - 17,8 cm x 17,8 cm each
This project was created during a residency, which was a collaborative project between the Concordia Centre for Creative Reuse (CUCCR) and the VAV Gallery. This series of drawings derive from the encounter of different images found at the CUCCR. The combination of small image fragments create new realities referring to the notions of time and space and speaking about the world around us in a poetic manner. The small size of the drawings encourage a search for details to reveal beauty in the ordinary, the banal, the everyday.
