The project 'Recreation' started with a fascination for children’s mark-making. By collecting and recreating children’s drawings and paintings, I investigate the rich pictorial language that translates both their vision of the world and their imagination. Reproducing qualities found in children’s art – clumsiness, innocence, spontaneity, honesty – with my precise, controlled drawing technique represents the paradox that makes me (the adult) learn from the children, rather than the opposite.

Le projet "Récréation" s’inspire de ma fascination pour l’expression artistique des enfants. En recueillant et en reproduisant des dessins et peintures d’enfants, j’explore leur riche langage plastique qui traduit à la fois leur vision du monde et leur imaginaire. Recréer les qualités de l’œuvre enfantine – la gaucherie, l’innocence, la spontanéité et l’honnêteté – d’une manière précise et contrôlée est le paradoxe qui fait que j’apprend de l’enfant, plutôt que l’inverse.
